BEST FOR:
PROFESSIONAL PADDLERS, 200M SPRINT RACING, TECHNICAL RACING, RACES UNDER 5KM.
WHY CHOOSE THIS PADDLE?
The first paddle made specifically for sprinting and short-distance races. The Hydro SprintX was designed to help paddlers push their limits with maximum acceleration and top speed.
Every feature of this paddle is optimized for speed and winning races. With a 7.5° blade angle, a shallower power pocket, and a wider and more compact blade outline––your first stroke will generate an instant burst of acceleration. We also reduced the blade volume to speed up entry and exit, helping you maintain an extremely fast cadence for sprinting.
We designed the PowerTaper shaft with a high kick point flex pattern to keep stiffness in the lower portion of the shaft for instant power under extreme load, while the more flexible top section creates increased spring and reduces shoulder fatigue.
The new Power Grip ergonomic racing handle ensures that your hand remains secure during rapid paddling and comfortable during long training sessions. These two changes represent a significant upgrade on their own
Utilizing our Advanced Flow with Power Scoop technology and built with 30T carbon and Kevlar, this is the fastest and most responsive paddle on the market. If you are serious about winning, the Hydro SprintX belongs in your paddle quiver.

POWER SCOOP
TECHNOLOGY (PST)
The Hydro SprintX features a single shallow scoop design with dihedral shaped edges. This design is optimized for high cadence and high-power output, and it delivers forward thrust in a smooth and controlled manner. PST is designed to work in harmony with Advanced Flow Technology (AFT).
ADVANCED FLOW TECHNOLOGY (AFT)
The proprietary Advanced Flow Technology (AFT) is designed to significantly increase paddle efficiency. By reducing fluid turbulence around the blade, unwanted lateral blade movements are eliminated. This increased efficiency leads to a smoother paddle stroke, reduced fatigue, and faster speeds. AFT is designed to work in harmony with our Power Scoop Technology (PST).
POWERGRIP
HANDLE
The PowerGrip has been optimized for maximum power, increased efficiency, and long-lasting comfort while paddling hard. Developed in collaboration with world champion Arthur Arutkin and Maui waterman Bernd Roediger, the wider and flatter back creates a secure feel that remains comfortable during longer races and workouts. Like all our handles, the PowerGrip is hollow to help eliminate any excess weight.
DESIGNED & BUILT FOR RACING
The Surge was designed to meet the specific demands of SUP surfing, it has become the paddle of choice for many competitive and recreational SUP surfers worldwide. We set out to create the best SUP surfing paddle on the market—the Surge is that paddle. At the end of the day, we’re SUP surfers too and that inspires what we do.
DESIGNED FOR
SHORT DISTANCE RACING
The Hydro SprintX was designed to meet the specific demands of short distance SUP racing; it has become the paddle of choice for many competitive SUP racers worldwide. We set out to create the best paddle for short distance racing, a specific paddle for sprinting and short distance which gives athletes an (unfair) advantage – the Hydro SprintX is that paddle. When not in the office or developing equipment, we love to train hard and challenge our own physical limits, we’re paddlers too and that inspires what we do.
SHALLOW POWER SCOOP (SPS) TECHNOLOGY
SHALLOW 7.5°
BLADE ANGLE
The Hydro SprintX has a shallow 7.5° blade angle which promotes a high cadence and delivers instant power. It is ideally suited to short distance, technical and sprint racing.
ADVANCED FLOW TECHNOLOGY (AFT)
Featuring a completely reimagined design, the Hydro SprintX is a paddle unlike any other. At first glance, your eyes will pop at the feature on the neck of the blade––an innovative new design that we call Advanced Flow Technology (AFT). It is designed to significantly increase paddle efficiency and smoothness by reducing turbulence and unwanted blade movements.
29-23.5mm
POWERTAPER SHAFT
We designed a new round tapered shaft (29m to 23.5mm). With a high kick point flex pattern this shaft design keeps stiffness in the lower portion of the shaft for instant power under extreme load, while the more flexible top section creates increased spring and reduces shoulder fatigue.
TEXALIUM, KEVLAR & 30T CARBON CONSTRUCTION
The Hydro SprintX paddle is equipped with a 100% Texalium and 30T Carbon shaft, the increased impact resistance of Texalium helps protect paddles against breakage. The silver finish reflects UV rays, reducing sun damage and keeping the shaft cooler on the water. Meanwhile, the textured shaft also enhances grip, while still being gentle on the hands. We paired this shaft with a blade and handle built in a red kevlar and 30T carbon construction for a unique and sleek aesthetic. On the inside, the laminates are optimized to increase strength and reduce weight, while maintaining an optimized flex required in a high-performance racing paddle.

POWERTAPER SHAFT CUSTOMIZATION
This table is not designed to be a one-size-fits-all solution. The PowerTaper shaft is designed to cut from both the top and bottom ends. Shorter and lighter paddlers will want to consider having their paddle built with up to 20cm cut from the bottom before the blade is attached and then trimming from the top to achieve the correct size. By cutting from the bottom the overall stiffness of the shaft is reduced, as is the average diameter. Those looking for maximum power and acceleration, as well as taller and heavier paddlers will want to cut less, or none from the bottom, this keeps the shaft stiffer and a wider average diameter. If you have any questions, please connect with us for personal recommendations.
Note: Do not cut more than 20cm from the bottom of the shaft.
